Life on the river

I am loving this summer weather!  We have been outside everyday and enjoying every minute of it! On Memorial Day we took Reeden to the river behind our house, which is a typical routine for him, but this time he got to get in the water!  He LOVED it!  I'm not a big fan myself, it's cold, dirty, I can't see the bottom, I mean I could go on and on, haha but Daylin was raised on it, so he wants Reeden to experience the same things he did growing up!  We didn't stay too long since the water was so cold but I have a feeling we will be down there all summer! I didn't get too many pictures since he didn't stay still long enough, but I managed to get a short video...Enjoy:)

18th Month Summer Pictures

A few weeks ago we did a few last minute pictures for Reeden's 18 month. It was so hot that morning, that we only stayed out for 30 minutes before he was soaked with sweat!  I plan on getting some done with him on a tractor, since he is currently obsessed with them. These turned out pretty good, considering the temperature and the limited time we had! Such a big boy now! Four more days and he'll be 19 months!

Reeden's 18 Month Update

My sweet "little" Reeden is 18 months! A whole YEAR and a HALF! Your personality gets bigger and brighter every day. You have grown up so much, in what seems to be overnight! Here are a few things we love about you...

We love that books are your favorite toy! Daddy is super proud, since they're his favorite too. Reading to you while you sit and take in every word and want to participate in the story brings us so much joy!

We love that you have such a funny personality. You never fail to entertain us, or anyone watching you for that matter!

We love that you try to do and say the things we do. Little things like cleaning, blowing on your food, answering the phone, "working" on things with daddy, you know just what to do. This makes us strive to to do our best at all time because you are ALWAYS watching.

We love that you LOVE tractors and cars. You can spot them everywhere we go. Seeing the excitement on your face makes my heart smile.

We love that when someone is talking to you, that you make sure they know Mommy and Daddy too :)

We love that you enjoy being outside. You would stay out all day and night if we let you!

We love that you love animals. We are planning on getting a puppy real soon and can't wait to see how excited you are!

We love that you give us hugs and kisses. Most of the time without being asked, you come and find us to give us a hug or pat or kiss. You have such a kind heart.

Long story short, the few things we love about you are, that we love EVERYTHING about you! You make us so happy and our love for you just keeps growing everyday!  We love you so much, Happy 18 months baby boy!!

Here's a few updated pictures of his wonderful 17 and 18 months!

Dr. Visits,Teething & Poison Control...OH MY!

Seriously, being a mama is H.A.R.D.! Especially with a sick baby.  I have total respect for all of the moms out there with more than one to care for or who are doing it on their own!  Reeden has been sick with a respiratory/sinus infection for over a week now. He couldn't talk, not eating, coughing, wheezing, and running a temp! Both of us have been in tears more than once in the past week! Mostly due to the lack of sleep we were both getting. He also cut all 4 of his eye teeth this week, at the same time!  If that wasn't bad enough, he spilled a whole bottle of scented oil all over his self and the floor! All of this happened while I was making the bed.  I wasn't sure if he tried to drink any, or if he put his hands in his mouth so I had to call poison control for the first time in my life! I wanted to know what symptoms to be watching for in case he did.  I had just read online about a baby boy the same age as Reeden, who ingested less than a teaspoon of oil, and was hospitalized for over week, almost killing him! Talk about a panic attack!!  Thankfully after an hour of monitoring him he showed no signs that he had ingested any! Needless to say I went through the whole house and got rid of EVERYTHING!!  I am very thankful and grateful for my husband, who volunteered to stay with Reeden so I could have a few hours to myself.  After the day we had I was definitely not passing that up! I'm happy to say that after numerous breathing treatments and rounds of antibiotics Reeden is finally on the mend! What a rough week, but despite all of that I wouldn't trade one day of my life, (no matter what I said at the time) for anything in the world! It may not be glamorous, but it's still better than anything else:) Happy parenting mamas! Hope you are having a great week!
